Èze, France

Èze was the first stop on my French Riviera trip.  This was my first time visiting France, which was very exciting.  I took French classes all through my elementary school years, but I hardly remember any of it.  I have a few friends that have studied in France for some time, and they both mention how important it is to speak French when visiting.  Lucky for me, southern France is a little bit nicer to tourists.

My time in Èze was rather short because it was a weekend trip with my school that included visiting 3 other cities.  Luckily, Èze is fairly small, so I felt like I saw what I needed to.  The architecture in France is very different from Italy.  Everything was a lot more ornate, as you can see from the photos.

After touring a little bit of Èze and eating lunch, we got to tour the Fragonard perfume factory.  It was so interesting to see the process of making perfume and all of the equipment used.  They told us that they typically don’t allow photos to be taken inside, but she would let us take a few.

After our tour of the perfume factory, we headed off to Nice, France.
